Social Media Strategist + Manager
The Brand Doula is a brand development studio that helps one-of-a-kind companies and leaders activate bold missions. We bring strategy, design, and creative leadership to their growing businesses and brands. Our clients span the health & wellness, beauty & skincare, fashion, media, and lifestyle industries.
About the Role
We are looking for a self-driven, detail-oriented, and socially savvy person to join our team as a Social Media Manager. Working alongside our founder and social strategist, you will serve as the dedicated account manager for a set of clients.
Commitment:
Time: This role requires up to 120 hours per month.
Compensation: $25/hour
Location: This is a remote, contractor position. Preference for US-based candidates, but open to anywhere where time zone differences will not severely limit opportunities for real-time collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Develop content calendars on a monthly or bi-weekly basis (depending on client preference), incorporating social strategy and business objectives to ideate high performing content
Execute content ideas through copy and eye-catching, on-brand graphics for feed posts, stories, and emails
Edit videos for TikTok and Instagram
Conduct daily community engagement (outbound and inbound)
Schedule and post content across social and email platforms
Monitor trends, competitive landscapes, and community discussions to inform content creation
Attend weekly team meetings
Who You Are

You have strong communication and writing skills and can work independently. You’re excited to work on a team that works primarily with women of color founders and contribute to our mission to uplift and close the resource gap for women of color in the entrepreneurship space.
Your Qualities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Ability to capture and write in multiple different brand voices and identities
Deep understanding of content creation on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
Experience with Flodesk or email marketing equivalent (e.g. Mailchimp) preferred
Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Suite (mainly XD and/or Illustrator)
Time management, high level of organization, and professional communication
Problem-solving mindset with an eagerness to continue learning
An eye for clear, high quality visual design
